Today, our third time in Porto, Portugal (yes, the home of port wine), we opted for an Oceania excursion which included a cruise on the Duoro River. We were driven to the Old Quarters of Ribeira where we had some free time before boarding the boat.
After the boat ride, we had about an hour of free time. We walked over to the Luis I Bridge and then part of the way across the lower level.
We then made our way to the meeting point for the ride back to the port.
We had the option of staying in town and catching the shuttle bus back to the pier, but we decided against that. The reality is that we are feeling a bit tired after all of the days of walking we've done. Hey, cut us some slack. We are, after all, 76 years old. And, we have many more ports ahead of us. This is one week down, six to go on this cruise. We may have to adjust our walking plans, particularly in places we've been before. We'll see!
Perhaps we should heed Rule 68 and go not thither:
Rule number 68: Go not thither, where you know not, whether you shall be welcome or not. Give not advice without
being asked & when desired do it briefly.
Tomorrow, we are back in Spain. Two more ports there before we head up to Bordeaux. So, the country count remains at 2.
Peace and blessings,
Linda and Larry
How warm is it in Spain & Portugal? That may have something to do with feeling tired in the bright sunshine. Porto hasn't changed a bit. 😊.
