Lucky Linda

Thursday was a sea day and that meant bingo.  I am sure that Linda will tell you that she's a lucky lady in many ways but yesterday her luck came through once again in bingo.  Not one, but two wins!  We love the shipboard credit laundering scheme.

The afternoon included sailing through the strait of Gibraltar and a cooking demonstration by Claudine Pepin and Rollie Wesen.

The day was capped off by a dinner with Claudine, Rollie, their daughter, Shorey, and Neli Arias from Oceania.  The last time we saw Shorey was in 2016 on the inaugural Sirena cruise when she was 12 years old.  They grow up so fast!

Today, Thursday, we are in Sevilla, Spain.  The beauty of being on a ship this size is that we can dock right in Sevilla.  the bigger ships have to dock in Cadiz, quite a distance away.

And, what a great time to be here with the jacarandas in bloom.    It was another day for walking.  We walked along the waterfront and then past the cathedral which we plan on visiting tomorrow.  (Did I mention that we are here overnight?)

Of course, when in Spain, there is always time for a cortado stop.

After that, we walked across the river to the Triana area.  We had to stop at the market before wandering on.  (Did I ever mention how much we love to wander through the local markets?)

We then strolled a bit through the area where there were far fewer tourists.

We then made our way back to the river and a spot along the water for lunch.

It was then time to head back to the ship.  We were out there for about 4 hours and walked about 5 miles.  What a great way to spend the day.  Tonight we have booked a flamenco show.  I'll let you know how that goes tomorrow.

In walking around, I had to remind Linda of today's Rule of Civility several times:

53. Run not in the streets, neither go too slowly nor with mouth open go not shaking your arms kick not the earth with r (sic) feet, go not upon the toes, nor in a dancing fashion.

Peace and blessings,
Linda and Larry
