My blog readers may recall that, last March, we were sailing on Riviera from Miami to Lisbon. Our first port of call was to be in Bermuda. As we left Miami, the Captain announced that due to bad weather near Bermuda we would be taking a more southerly route and would be stopping in the Bahamas instead. We were then in for 8 days at sea to reach Lisbon. Well, it's deja vu, all over again. As we sailed out of the Bahamas yesterday,
the captain announced that, due to a forecast of gale force winds and 5-6 meter swells, we would be taking a more southerly route and not stopping in Bermuda. We're on a 2 year streak! We'll have 6 days at sea before our planned stop in the Azores. Here's hoping we make it.
Actually, today at sea is a lovely day - warm, a bit windy, and calm seas. We just love these sea days. And, really, when you can delight in great food like the beautiful special mussels and potatoes in a saffron sauce that I had in Jacques last night, who can complain? Well, I'm sure that some people complained, but screw them.
There may not be much to report for the next few days, but stay tuned.
Peace and blessings,
Linda and Larry
Enjoy the slow life!
