Benagil, Baby!

The highlight of Wednesday was the boat trip to the Benagil caves.  The trip started out with a cruise past the Ponta da Piedade.  We were able to get a seaside view of the rock formations that we saw from the top the day before.

The next part of the trip was for dolphin watching.  It took about an hour until they were able to find a pod.  We got great close up views of the dolphins.

Then it was back to the coast for the amazing Benagil caves.  They were able to take the boat right into a couple of the caves.

After the caves, it was a cruise back to Lagos with more views of the beautiful coastline.

Later in the afternoon, we went to the produce market, Mercado de Levante.  We got some berries and avocado, and finally, a nice loaf of bread.

As the sun was setting . . .

. . . we made our way to the restaurant A Barrigada, recommended particularly for their all the fish you can eat dinner.  I opted for the all you can eat, which consisted of 4 different types of fish, while Linda went for the scabbard.  It was all delicious in a fun atmosphere.

And you couldn't beat the price!

The walk back to the apartment in the lovely evening felt good after that dinner.

We've got 2 days left in Lagos before we head to Faro.  It's been a blast.

Peace and blessings,

Linda and Larry
