Yep, it's time to hit the road, take to the air, sail the seas, and ride the rails again. So, where are we going this time, you ask? This is going to be a 2 month trip and it should be quite an adventure. For starters, we're flying to Lima, Peru tonight, including an overnight in Mexico City (don't ask!). We arrive in Lima on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday we will embark on the Oceania Marina for 2 cruises - Lima to Miami and then Miami to Barcelona. We'll disembark in Barcelona on April 20th and stay for 2 nights. From there we'll be going to the Algarve region of Portugal, an area we have not visited. We'll fly to Faro, Portugal and then take a train to Lagos, Portugal where we have an apartment booked for 7 nights. That will give us plenty of time to explore and experience the region. Then we have another apartment booked in Faro, Portugal for 4 nights and we'll get a feel for a different city. Then we'll fly back to Barcelona for another night before winging off to Rome for a 2 night stay. And then the real excitement begins. We have been invited by Oceania to be on board for the 7-night Christening Voyage of their new ship, the Allura. It should be an amazing experience with all of the Oceania bigwigs, the godmother Giada De Laurentiis and entertainment by Harry Connick Jr. at the christening gala. After that, we'll remain on board for the first official cruise, the so-called Founder's Cruise for 7 nights from Rome to Trieste. We will surely be ready for a vacation at home after all of that!
This trip has not started on a high note - our flight out of LAX is delayed by more than an hour and Purdue just lost to FDU! OMG! Things have to get better.
Stay tuned for updates.
Peace and blessings,
Linda and Larry
Hoping your delay gets you less time in Mexico City!
