Mooloolaba (accent on the second syllable) is a city on the Sunshine Coast. In other words, it's a beach city and what a nice beach city it is. This was an added port since we could not get into Brisbane and it turned out to be a worthwhile stop.
First on our agenda for the day was a walk up the Coastal Path. We were joined by our friends Pam and Bob. Our intent was to walk all the way up to Maroochydore (accent on the second syllable) but when the path veered from the coast north of the Alexandra Headland, we decided to head back. So, we only did about 5K instead of 6K. It was a bit warm and humid. Other than that, the walk was really nice.
Along the way, we saw Water Dragons and Rainbow Lorikeets and a pretty Hibiscus tree.
And we stopped at The Loo With a View!
After returning to Mooloolaba (accent on the second syllable) and walking along the Esplanade, our second agenda item was lunch with Lynne Stephens. Linda stayed with Lynne for part of the time that she was in Australia for a faculty exchange program in 2004. This was the first time they saw each other since then. It was a very pleasant lunch along the Esplanade and a great chance for them to catch up.
Tomorrow, Friday, is a sea day. Somehow we'll find a way to relax!
Peace and blessings,
Linda and Larry
