Morning in Ajaccio, Corsica

This morning started with a lovely sail in to Ajaccio as we waited to be tested.  Ajaccio looks like a wonderful seaside city and we wish we could be out walking there.

We were tested at 8:25am and I am writing this at 10:40am.  We were told that we would only be called if we tested positive so we are hoping that this means we were negative.  It would be nice to have confirmation of that.  When we get official word, I'll send out a news flash.

Yesterday, was a beautiful day in Cagliari.  It was sunny and warm which made for a great afternoon when our veranda was bathed in sunshine.  It certainly lifted our spirits.

We decided to indulge in afternoon tea and ordered some tea and scones.  We decided that we should dress properly for afternoon tea but, having been in quarantine so long, we forgot how proper Brits dress for tea.  We did the best we could.  How did we do?

As we sailed away from Cagliari, we were once again treated to a great sunset.

One good thing we've observed is that there have been no pests of any kind bothering us as we sit on the veranda and that brings me to today's Rule of Civility: Rule #13. Kill no vermin as fleas, lice ticks in the sight of others, if you see any filth or thick spittle put your foot dexterously upon it if it be upon the cloths of your companions, put it off privately, and if it be upon your own cloths return thanks to him who puts it off.

Peace and blessings,
Linda and Larry
