Stockholm Day Two - WOW!

Thursday, our second day in Stockholm, we went to Drottningholm Palace.  Here I go again with the superlatives, but it was amazing.  In my opinion, it rivals Versailles.  We took a taxi from the port (bad idea) for the half hour ride.  We arrived shortly after it opened which was good since it wasn't too crowded.

At this point, I will restrain myself and only put up a small sample of the too many photos that I took in the interior.  Enjoy!

After that, we walked through the vast garden.  The weather was perfect - bright sunshine and temps in the 70's.

After a stop for a quick bite to eat, we visited the Chinese Pavillion.  Nice, but not nearly as impressive as the palace.

We then made our way back to the entrance and took an Uber back to the port (a much better idea - much lower fare).

One of the delights of cruising to Stockholm is the picturesque sail away through the archipelago.  It was a fitting end to our two days there.

As I said, I tried to restrain myself in putting together this post which brought to mind Rule of Civility Number 88:

Be not tedious in discourse, make not many digressions, nor repeat often the same manner of discourse.

Peace and blessings,

Linda and Larry
