Friday was a much calmer sea day than the previous day. It culminated with a dinner in Red Ginger, the Asian restaurant which is our favorite. There is a small private room in the back where the maitre d', Joan, typically seats us. It's a nice, quiet spot in an otherwise noisy restaurant. We've asked Joan to install a plaque designating it as our room😉.
After dinner, we crashed the shooting and became extras in the Cruise Director's show which airs the following morning.
Today, Saturday, we are in Puerto Vallarta, the substitute port for Acapulco.
The day started with my morning jog at sunrise and docking with the usual greeting by birds.
It was hot! We decided to take a walk on the beach and got off of the ship at about 10:15 am hoping that it wouldn't be too hot. It was too late. We toughed it out and walked for over an hour. It was a busy Saturday morning on the beach for both people and birds.
On the way back, we made a very quick stop at the flea market at the port. Different port - same crap! No purchases again.
Initially, we thought we might spend some time sitting on the beach but the heat killed that idea. By the time we returned to the ship, it was 90 degrees.
Tomorrow we'll be in Cabo San Lucas. Here's hoping for cooler beach weather!
Peace, blessings, and crookedness,
Linda and Larry
