Oh Covid, My Covid, Wherefore Art Thou, Covid?

Greetings from quarantine.  This morning we had to take a required Covid test prior to our arrival in Italy.  Yes, maybe we had some sniffles and a little coughing, but we felt fine and energetic.  Hey, we have averaged something like 7 miles of walking per day over the past 10 days.  So, when Linda's antigen test came back positive, we were surprised.  Mine eventually came back negative, but I really thought that the nurse who swabbed me gave it a very perfunctory swab.  They gave Linda a PCR test to confirm her positive result which it did.  Then they gave me a PCR test which was also positive.  The good news is that we are confined together.  Perhaps it will strengthen our relationship!  Anyway, we are awaiting a visit from the ship's doctor to get the word on all of the protocols.

The bottom line is that we are really feeling fine and that there are worse places to be in quarantine than cruising on the Med on a ship with fine cuisine which is still at our beckoning with a simple phone call.

I suspect that there will not be much to blog about for the next 5 days or so and I will leave you with this Rule of Civility which Linda and I will especially need to follow while in quarantine: Rule #14. Turn not your back to others especially in speaking, jog not the table or desk on which another reads or writes, lean not upon any one.

Peace and blessings and stay healthy,

Linda and Larry
